Description

This brake drum belongs to a new generation of products designed to be lighter and more efficient for heavy-duty vehicles. It features a composite design that uses a high-carbon steel cover and a centrifugally cast gray iron braking surface. The steel cover is internally grooved, ensuring better fusion and adhesion between the two materials. Thanks to their lightweight construction, these drums are 20% lighter than traditional cast iron drums. This translates into a weight savings of 18-22 lbs per drum, which can add up to a total savings of 100-300 lbs per vehicle. The drum is manufactured to meet high standards of quality and performance. It meets and exceeds FMVSS 121 requirements. Additionally, its weight is balanced according to industry-recommended standards. This product is designed to support a gross axle weight rating (GAWR) of up to 23,000 lbs.
